Stewardship: The Key To Wealth

7 May

Seth: There is a parable in the Bible referred to as the Parable of the Talents. The parable deals with three servants whom were intrusted with money from their master different sums of money (talents) “according to his several ability.” The first was given 5 talents, the second 3 talents, and the third, one talent. While the master was away traveling, the first two by their own efforts doubled their monies. The third man hid his talent in the master’s field and did not increase what he was given. The master returned and was extremely disappointed in the last servant, and gave his money to the first man.

We’re all given something, and some more skill, wisdom, drive, and means than others. But we are all called to value whatever it is we have, and to produce of it. The key is finding your gift. How can you increase that which you don’t know you have?

In terms of wealth, the concept is simple. We all have some kind of money. At the very least, we can invest in savings accounts, treasury notes, stocks and so on. You don’t have to assume great risks to be a good steward. Being a steward simply means that you make the best of what you’re given according to your abilities. It is also your responsibility to do whatever you can to increase your abilities. This means reading books and articles, seeking advice through mentors and partnering with others with similar goals. The moral of the parable, of stewardship can be summed up as “everyone who has who be given more, and he will have an abundance.” If you seek to increase what God has given you, and use it for a good and righteous purpose, he will see fit to reward you accordingly. If, however, you squander what he blessed you with, not only will you not have increased your allotment, that which you do have will be taken from you. And after you have nothing:

And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Note this concept applies to all gifts, not just money. Any talents or abilities you have, any knowledge or ability to learn, any opportunity you’ve be given: make the most of it, and use it to benefit those who have less.

Sex Transmutation

2 May

Ray: Understanding the principles of sex transmutation can be extremely beneficial for the ambitious person. I first discovered these principles in chapter 11 of the book, Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill. I do not possess the writing ability to explain sex transmutation as well as it is explained in the book, but I will use this essay to at least introduce you to these principles.

The definition of transmutation is to change into another nature, substance, form, or condition. So the phrase “sex transmutation” literally translates into changing the essence of sex into another form of energy. For the ambitious person, that new source of energy will be used as a fuel to power one’s self towards the completion of a particular objective.

So what does that mean for us? Follow me as I try to explain…

When someone is sexually attracted to someone, then they are often consumed with the emotion of desire. When you desire someone, your brain thinks about all the different ways that you might be able to “hook-up” with that person. You try to figure out the words to say, the clothes to wear, the way you should walk, and all these other variables that might aid you in your pursuit of the one you desire. In other words, we use this desire for sex to fuel our imagination, courage, will-power, persistence, and creative abilities.

All of these great attributes become a part of our personality simply because we have a strong desire to be with someone in a physical manner. If you’re like me, you should be excited at this point…

The genius recognizes that the same attributes that we develop as a result of our sexual desires are the same attributes needed to achieve success in any great undertaking. If we desire to become entrepreneurs, then we will try to figure out what type of business will work, what will it take to get it started, and how can all of the obstacles be overcome until I am in business. Just as when trying to hook-up with someone, you will think of these ideas and solutions in a realistic and timely manner that will actually allow you to achieve your objective.

Thus, the concept of sex transmutation refers to applying the character traits that develop from a sexual attraction for the benefit of achieving some other personal objective. For me, that would be to generate one million dollars within the next 3 years.

After conducting a study on the subject at hand, Napoleon Hill came to this conclusion:

“This study disclosed the fact that the major reason why the majority of men who succeed do not begin to do so before the age of forty to fifty, is their tendency to DISSIPATE their energies through over indulgence in physical expression of the emotion of sex. The majority of men never learn that the urge of sex has other possibilities, which far transcend in importance, that of mere physical expression. The majority of those who make this discovery, do so after having wasted many years at a period when the sex energy is at its height, prior to the age of forty-five to fifty. This usually is followed by noteworthy achievement.”

The challenge from here my friends, is to learn how to harness that creative energy and use it for more worthy activities. There is no doubt that to master sex transmutation, one must first possess self-control and the desire to achieve some great objective. The sooner you transmute your sex energy into productive brain power, the sooner you will achieve the success you dream about.

Don’t waste your time or your sex energy on physical over indulgence. Do work and start handling your business now.

A Kick In the Teeth

28 Apr

“For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth.”
Proverbs, 3. 12

Ray: Sometimes we go through experiences in life that can be as painful as getting kicked in the teeth. Although we never want to feel that kind of pain, sometimes it’s necessary in order for us to move out of a particular situation. Unfortunately, we too often assume that a kick in the teeth is just a kick in the teeth. But everything happens for a reason and we should never forget that.

Recognize your problems for what they are and figure out a way to remove them from your life. If you recognize your problems and allow them to remain, then you’re responsible for blocking certain blessings from entering your life. On the contrary, if you recognize your problems and cut them at the source, you will finally be able to move on towards all that God has in store for you. Pray, think, and grow or repeatedly end up like the guy in the picture…
